In the Bible the word Heart is interchangeable with what we today think of as Mind. The experience of eternity (the Kingdom of Heaven) is as close as getting to know our minds in which God has placed [it]. Quite meditation for just 10 minutes a day, in a comfortable position, usually sitting cross legged is a guaranteed way to know the mind. Peace bro :)

Once upon a time there was a boy who loved his teddy bear. He took it with him everywhere, it never left his sight and he slept with it on his pillow. He loved & enjoyed his teddy bear and it gave him great pleasure.

Then one day he received a puppy as a gift. The puppy licked his face, played with him, barked, ran and became for him what the teddy bear could never be.

Soon, what was once his most valuable possession & pleasure found its way under the bed, then into the closet and finally up to the attic where it awaits the next garage sale.

Nice topic, and one worthy of kicking around a little. Actually, I started reflecting on the scripture and the more I pondered it, the more I ended up thinking of other stuff. So, I ended up with quite a long comment.

Rather than posting a three page comment, I thought I'd just point you to my blog. My response to this post can be found here. (If the link doesn't work, go to www.dreamthesky.com and look for the entry called "Struggling with Struggle")
