What a novel idea. I wonder where you got such a profound thought : ) I think it may take more of a missionary mindset and less of a pastoral one to faciliate the connections you describe. What I long to be is a missionary to the culture that seeks to find those "camp fires" where God is at work and connect the facilitators of these on-fire communities in order to create the conditions where God can "start more campfires." At the moment I believe one of the problems we have is that the facilitators of the campfires are isolated, standing by their fire with little awareness of the larger opportunity.
