Rick, that's both strange and cool that such a convo came up Monday night. Can't wait to hear about it. Pretty sweet.

Shaunna (not to be confused with Shaunna my wife for any not "in the know"), I hear what you're saying. I didn't personally look at it that way myself, but now I can see where you're coming from. My first reaction was to see it asking a question of, "hey you pro-life people (who are stereotypically anti-gay as well), would you still be pro-life if this kiddo turned out gay?" Regardless of which way we read it, it was definitely one of those good attention getters.

I'm with both of you on this...our bodies aren't who we REALLY are. Even if they were, it's not up to us as to who lives and who dies, which begs a good question.

That's basically saying "Do you think gay people should die?" And the answer is no. Every single person has a purpose in life and I'm not the one that decides who lives and who dies.

This topic came up at our neighborhood dinner Monday night when someone brought up that father who does triathlons carrying and pushing his disabled son Team Hoyt.

Gay, disabled, blind, deaf, whatever...it's just the container not the person...right?
