Rethinking reality as we know it

314The Maniac is in My Room

What would you do if you were ambushed by an axe-murderer but you realized just in time to do something about it…if you wanted to?

Would you fight him off…even killing him if necessary?

Would you try to reason with him?

Would you let him go about his business, bringing an end to your life in this physical world?

Here’s the important question: Why did you choose the answer you did?

Yeah, I know this post seems random and makes no sense whatsoever. Nevertheless, I’d love to hear some responses. A friend of mine recently asked me a similar question and I discovered a moral dilemma upon considering my answer.

More on that in the next post.

I would choose option A: Fight him off…even killing him if necessary.

I chose that answer because that would be my first instinct. We as human beings don’t have to rely solely on our instincts because of our intelligence, and that’s a good thing, but in this case…no thought required.

Jeffrey, I’m curious to see what the moral dilemma is.
