341Things to Think About
posted by Jeffrey on November 14th, 2007
I like quotes.
For a couple of different reasons, this surprises me. Nevertheless, a well-smithed nugget of enlightenment can stir my soul and cause me to think.
This is where I’d like to call your attention to the section you may have noticed on my sidebar that says, “think about it”.
This is a little widget that will cycle one of the ever-growing number of quotes I add with each new page that is viewed and/or when any page is refreshed.
Here are but a few of my recent favorites that you’ll see appear…everything from 1700’s french philosophy to modern stars to a taoist patriarch:
“I have never met a man so ignorant that I couldn’t learn something from him.”
~Galileo“I wanted to change the world, but I have found that the only thing one can be sure of changing is oneself.”
~Aldous Huxley“Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.”
~Voltaire“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
~Albert Einstein“The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.”
~Lao Tzu
What do they say to you?
