August 20th, 2008 at 8:36 amConformity, to me, means going along with what is commonly accepted, expected, or dictated by someone else [society]. When you don’t agree with what they are expecting, or your beliefs and values won’t allow that conformity, courage is DEFINITELY required. Because it seems like in today’s society, it is getting increasingly more difficult to stand up for anything that is not the publicly-held and popular opinion.
