About
Hey. I’m Jeffrey. I live in Hermitage, TN. I’m 24 years old, husband to the hottest woman alive, scruffy, a personal trainer, business owner, dreamer, thinker, coffee drinker, question asker, pipe & cigar smoker, movie watcher, gym goer, conversation lover, outdoorsy, and often misunderstood. You’re likely to find me at my house or a friend’s, the gym, a park, or tucked away in the corner of some restaurant, coffee house, or bar, wrapped up in a good conversation, watching other people, and/or smoking my pipe.
Due to the sometimes touchy nature of my writings, I ask that you consider conversing by a little idea that I call “assume the best”. We’ll all understand each other and get along a little better if we do…or so I think.
In addition to this blog, which is my personal one, I also write about how much fun and simple it can be to Live Green. I’m not an expert on the subject, but it is a venue where people can share their ideas and journeys, in addition to following my own journey, into living green. That site is in a wonderful network of sites called the Fun Times Guide, with my particular site being the Fun Times Guide to Living Green. Stop by sometime if you’d like.
Back to this blog. I write about lots of things here (terrible SEO, I know, but that’s not the aim.): life, questions floating around in my head, our home-based business, reality (both what we perceive as real and what may actually be real), pictures, adventures, philosophy, college football (roll Tide), and more.
However, if you decide to peruse some of the very old posts here, you may find content completely different altogether. Why? This blog started out on blogger.com in March of 2005 to chronicle the “church planting” endeavors of a small group of people, my wife and I included. That’s a long story, but the short version is that we acted on a passion God was birthing in our hearts as to what the Church could be. Hence (but not unfortunately), we attempted to convert that into what a local church could be. Yeah, that didn’t work so much. But it’s cool. There’s no way that the particular dream God had given us could have worked in an organized local church setting.
Where we’ve moved on to since then is a story that can be gleaned from checking out more recent posts. One thing I will say is that it is always changing. I’m always learning and growing. If you really want to know more than that, well, then maybe we can get a cup-o-joe or a beer and get to know each other.
I contemplated removing those old posts in the transfer here to my blog powered by WordPress, but they reflect a part of our spiritual journey, and as such, are valuable to me. So they remain here for you to see, if you care to.
I love to meet new people and have great conversations, so feel free to contact me.
Welcome to my humble little place…
